What do booking-site fees cost you in a year?
Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com take a share of every stay, from you, from your guests, or both. Put in your nightly rate and how often you're booked, and see what it adds up to.
Guests pay a service fee; you pay about 3%. Guests pay 14.2% on top; you pay 3%. These are typical figures; your payout statement has your own.

How it's worked out
- Fees are on the nightly rate plus cleaning, as the sites charge them, before taxes.
- The percentages are typical, not yours. They vary by market, plan and how payment is collected. Your payout statement shows exactly what you were charged.
- “Booked directly” means the same total to the guest, paid by card, with standard card processing of 2.9% plus 30¢ per payment. Threshold charges no fee to you or your guests.
